Let’s do a game first. Now try to find the actor who has played in the films below. The first film is X-men, second is Juno and the last movie is Inception 1. Have you found her out? Yes, she is Ellen Page. And this year, she is still on the way to give her wonderful performance.
Ellen was born in Canada. Well, like many stars, she made up her mind to become an actor at an early age, and then she went to the local drama school to improve herself, after that she got so many chances to perform in TV series and won lots of awards in this field.
Well in 2005, she competed among 300 girls for the leading role in thriller 2 Hard Candy. The story told that a small girl, by her own way, revenged on the murderers who killed her friend. The film caused a rather heated debate. But Ellen gained praise for "one of the most complex, disturbing and haunting performances of the year".
If we say that Hardy 3 Candy takes young Ellen out of Canada, then we have to say her later film Juno serves to strengthen her influence in the world, especially in Hollywood. Juno presents a story about pregnancy 4 among adolescents. The theme is no doubt a controversial one but again her skilled performance led her all the way to the nomination 5 of Academy Awards.
“I love acting 6 for the simple reason that I could be anyone. So if I failed to shape the role, it was a shame.” Ellen expressed so. In the preparation for Juno, she chatted with pregnant young girls and imitated their walking ways. Thus when she began the film, everyone was surprised for she were exactly pregnant Juno.
Unlike so many American sweeties, Ellen is absolutely an unordinary actress. She never agrees with Hollywood’s way and insists only films can send the messages.
