Zoo 动物园
A zoo is a park where live animals are kept so that people can look at them.
Here is an example from a comedy film Madagascar:
At New York's Central Park Zoo, a lion, a zebra, a giraffe, and a hippo are best friends and the stars of the show. One day they escape from the zoo and go to Africa.
在纽约中央动物园，四个好朋友狮子、斑马、长颈鹿还有河马是那里的明星动物。有一天他们逃跑去非洲了。
This is a really funny movie. But今天我们要说的这个动物园，不在纽约，而在日本. 这个动物园为了防止动物们逃跑，来了一次萌萌哒演习！There is a zoo in Tokyo called Ueno Zoo. It is the oldest and probably the cutest zoo in Japan.因为每年这里都会有一次“逃跑动物演习”。怎么回事呢？
Every February，the staff at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo get attacked by rhinos（犀牛）, zebras, and gorillas 2大猩猩. But, do not panic! They are not real animals.而是工作人员假扮的。
It's part of the zoo's annual Escaped Animal Drill(年度逃跑动物演习). Some zookeepers dress up in animal costumes 服装 and pretend they are trying to escape from the zoo.
And 150 of their colleagues, together with police and emergency workers, practice how they would handle the situation if an animal really were to break loose.

Some zoo workers really get into the performance, playing dead or feigning 3 injury to heighten 4 the drama. And what’s interesting is that every year the zebra and gorilla 1 look different. Their costumes are upgrading 5 with the development of technology.
