BERLIN, June 4 (Xinhua) -- A 29-year-old Canadian porn actor suspected of killing 1 and dismembering a Chinese student in Montreal was arrested in Berlin on Monday, local police authorities confirmed.
"He is under custody 2 in Berlin," Thomas Neuendorf, spokesman for Berlin police, told Xinhua by telephone.
Luka Rocco Magnotta was apprehended 3 in an internet cafe in Berlin's in Neukolln district, after a local resident recognized him and alerted police.
He is wanted by Canadian authorities and the Interpol, after he allegedly killed 33-year-old Chinese student Lin Jun on the night of May 25with an ice pick and mailed the victim's dismembered body parts. He had filmed the attack and put the video on the Internet.
After days of hunting, Magnotta was spotted 4 in an internet cafe in Karl Marx Strasse, south Berlin, said Neuendorf, adding that the suspect was recognized by the cafe boss, who ran out to the street and stopped a bypassing police patrol car.
The suspect murderer gave a false name when asked by police, but soon gave up and said, "Ok, you got me."
