美国电影《写给上帝的信》(Letters to God)，根据真实故事改编，一个与癌症抗争的小男孩写给上帝的信，感动了他的街坊四邻，也让帮助他的人看到了生活的希望。一部感人而充满力量的电影，希望大家有机会可以去看一看。提到癌症（cancer），我们知道在生活或者影视作品中常常会听到这个名词，今天我们就来学一学与“它”相关的英语表达：

字典里面对它有这样一段描述“Cancer is a serious disease in which cells in a person's body increase rapidly in an uncontrolled way, producing abnormal 1 growths.”

There is no radical 2 cure for cancer.现在还没有根治癌症的办法。



常见的癌症有以下几种：

1.乳腺癌 breast cancer



乳腺癌是女性最常见的恶性肿瘤之一，据资料统计，发病率占全身各种恶性肿瘤的7%-10%，常与遗传有关。



2.骨癌 cancer in the bones



是典型的全身性恶性疾病。常见症状 有发热、体重下降、疲劳和活动能力下降等。。原发性骨癌通常侵犯年轻人，尤其是那些比他们的同年龄人长得更高的人。所以，矮个子同学可以好好得瑟下咯~~



3.肝癌 liver cancer



指发生于肝脏的恶性肿瘤，死亡率较高，初期症状并不明显，晚期主要表现为肝痛、乏力、消瘦、黄疸、腹水等症状。



4.胃癌 gastric['ɡ?strik] cancer



是最常见的胃肿瘤，一般多见于中年以后的男性。近几年，随着现代生活的发展，胃癌出现了年轻化的趋势，与不良生活习惯及环境污染有很大的关系。据说，常吃隔夜饭菜，得胃癌风险会提高3.6倍！



5.血癌(白血病) leuk(a)emia [lju'ki:mi?]

听我妈妈说，这个词儿为中国人所熟悉应该是来自上个世纪八十年代由山口百惠出演的日剧《血凝》当中，那个时候估计你我还没出生呢吧？



相关的癌症还有很多很多，譬如，淋巴癌 lymph cancer 或者lymphoma [lim'f?um?]，脑癌cerebral['seribr?l] cancer，神经癌 neural['nju?r?l] cancer，大家感兴趣可以自己去深入了解下！
