   ·I live on all the continents of the world except Antarctica. And although I live in Australia, it's not one of my native homes.


  ·I can live in all sorts of places with different climates and temperatures. They include plains, forests, snowy areas and even swamps.
  ·I usually make my home in shallow holes in the ground called burrows 2. I sometimes might use another animal's burrow 1 instead of digging my own.
  ·Most people think I'm really cute. I often have large floppy 3 ears, although they can be small and short too. I have a chubby 4 body, short legs and thick, soft fur.
  ·I normally am shades of brown or gray all over, but my fur also can be white, black or even red.
  ·I can be less than a foot(10 inches, about 25 centimeters)long to almost 2 feet (20 inches, about 50 centimeters)long from nose to tail.
  ·I normally am pretty light but can get quite heavy, especially if I'm a pet. I've been known to get as heavy as 15 pounds (almost 7 kilograms).
  ·I eat a lot of grass and other plants. I'm often known for chewing on the leaves of plants in people's gardens.
  ·I'm speedy and can hop 5 away from many enemies, especially humans.
  ·You would see me most often at sundown when it's getting dark. I might be alone or hanging out with friends in a group called a colony.
