GENEVA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- An infrastructure 1 contract to renovate 2 and extend the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva was signed Thursday in Bern, the Swiss Federal Department of Finance said.
The structural 3 maintenance of the Centre William Rappard, WTO's headquarters, is assumed by Swiss authorities.
WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy will leave office on Aug. 31 and be replaced by Roberto Azevedo from Brazil.
