China ready to work with int'l community to fight hacking

BEIJING, March 11 (Xinhua) -- A Foreign Ministry 1 spokeswoman on Monday said China would like to work with other countries to curb 2 cyber attacks.
"The Chinese government resolutely 3 opposes and has cracked down on hacking 4 in accordance with the law and would like to work with the international community to safeguard network security," spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily press briefing.
Her comments came in response to a question regarding recent media reports stating that the computers of Australia's central bank had been hacked 5 by attackers.
Hua said China's stance on fighting cyber crime has been clear and consistent.
