Lanus holds leadership in Argentina's Final Tournament

BUENOS AIRES, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The Argentinean soccer team Lanus Sunday defeated Godoy Cruz 1-0 to consolidate 1 the leadership in the final tournament after the sixth matchday.
The match was played in "Malvinas Argentinas" stadium in Mendoza, at 1,068 kilometers west of Buenos Aires, where Lanus' defense 2 Carlos Izquierdoz headed a goal at minute 26.
The match featured former Boca Junior forward players Martin Palermo (Godoy Cruz) and Guillermo Barros Schelotto (Lanus).
With this victory, Lanus reached 16 points (five victories and one draw game), five points more than Godoy Cruz.
