MINSK, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Belarus is not going to recall its ambassador from Ukraine, Belarusian Foreign Ministry 1 spokesman Dmitry Mironchik told local media here on Thursday.
Belarus will not recall its ambassador from Ukraine after Kiev recalled its ambassador from Belarus for consultations 2, Mironchik said, adding "The Belarusian side does not see the need for similar steps."
The official stressed that Minsk holds the view that "the ambassadorial level is the optimal 3 level of interaction between the two neighboring countries."
On March 24, Ukraine recalled its ambassador in Belarus and sent a diplomatic note to Belarus after a statement made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus had recognized de facto that Crimea was part of Russia.
