B: Where have you been, Alice, you ‘re over an hour late.
A: Yes, But I couldn’t help it. I was late getting off work for a start and then I miss the bus. The bus I did catch that stuck in the traffic jam. It was one thing after another.
B: why ere you getting off work so late? The office close at six, doesn’t it?
A: Yes. But those are the rush in that moment. And my boss ask me to do some urgent 5 letters.
B: Didn’t you tell him you have an appointment?
A: Well, no. I thought I ‘ve finish in five minutes. and I didn’t want to be difficult about just few minutes ,if I hadn’t been missing 6 the bus and in the traffic I wouldn’t have been so late. I’m sorry.
B: Well. You’re here. Let’s ….
