A: I’m terrible sorry to cause you so much trouble.

A: I’m sorry ,but I can’t find the book that you lend me.

B: Oh, that’s alright.

A: I must apologize. I’ll buy you a new one tomorrow.

B: No. Please don’t . I couldn’t let you do that.

A: I’m afraid I spoke 4 in all of the table clock.

B: Never mind about that.

A: I’m terrible sorry ,Won’t you let me pay for?

B: No, I won’t hear of it.

Dialogue 4

A: Adam. I’m sorry.

B: Where have you been, Alice, you ‘re over an hour late.

A: Yes, But I couldn’t help it. I was late getting off work for a start and then I miss the bus. The bus I did catch that stuck in the traffic jam. It was one thing after another.

B: why ere you getting off work so late? The office close at six, doesn’t it?

A: Yes. But those are the rush in that moment. And my boss ask me to do some urgent 5 letters.

B: Didn’t you tell him you have an appointment?

A: Well, no. I thought I ‘ve finish in five minutes. and I didn’t want to be difficult about just few minutes ,if I hadn’t been missing 6 the bus and in the traffic I wouldn’t have been so late. I’m sorry.

B: Well. You’re here. Let’s ….

1 awfully

adv.可怕地，非常地，极端地

Agriculture was awfully neglected in the past.过去农业遭到严重忽视。
I've been feeling awfully bad about it.对这我一直感到很难受。

2 temper
