Beijing Olympic cycling champion Cooke retires

LONDON, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Britain's cycling Olympic champion Nicole Cooke has announced her retirement 1 from the sport.
Cooke, 29, announded her decision on Monday, saying that she was very happy with her career. "I have won every race and more that I dreamed I could win." she said.
Cooke clinched 2 both the Olympic road race and world road race titles in 2008.
She finished 31st in London Olympics last year.
