1. 连接代词的用法。连接代词主要包括who, whom 1, what, which, whose等，它们在句中可用作主语、宾语、表语、定语等，可以引导主语从句、宾语从句和表语从句：
引导主语从句：
Which side 2 wins makes no difference 3 to him. 哪边赢他都无所谓。
What he had 4 hoped 5 at last came 6 true 7. 他希望的事最后实现了。
引导宾语从句：
Do you know who he is. 你知道他是谁吗?
I don’t know who he gave 8 it to. 我不知道他把它给谁了。
He asked me what I wanted. 他问我想要什么。
I don’t know whose it is. 我不知道那是谁的。
I missed what you said 9 because of the noise. 由于嘈杂我没听清你的话。
引导表语从句：
This is what I want to stress 10. 这是我想强调的。
That is what he meant. 这就是他的意思。
The question is whom we should trust 11. 问题是我们应当相信谁。
The question is which design 12 is better. 问题是哪个设计更好。
2. what 的两种用法。what有时表示“什么”，带有疑问意味;有时表示“所…的一切事或东西”：
I don’t know what he wants. 我不知道他想要什么。
What he says is right. 他所说的是对的。
I believe 13 what she told me. 我相信她和我所说的话。
pron.谁（who的宾格）
- That is the man whom I met in Beijing last year.他就是我去年在北京碰见的那个人。
- He married a wife by whom he had two daughters.他娶了妻子并跟她生了两个女儿。
n.边，旁边；面，侧面
- The shop is on the west side of the street.商店在街道的西边。
- There was a lot of people on every side. 到处都是人。
n.不同；差异；区别
- He doesn't know the difference between right and wrong.他是非不分。
- The difference is so slight,that I can hardly see it.差别很小，我几乎看不出来。
vbl.have的过去式和过去分词；conj.有
- I just had a good idea!我有个好主意！
- The boy had a small branch of a tree in his hand.这个男孩手上拿一条小树枝。
v.希望，期望( hope的过去式和过去分词 )；[俚语]相信，认为；希望，盼望，期待
- He hoped they would not feel affronted if they were not invited . 他希望如果他们没有获得邀请也不要感到受辱。
- They hoped to enlist the help of the public in solving the crime. 他们希望寻求公众协助破案。
v.动词come的过去式
- I was surprised why he came here so early.他为什么那么早到这里，我很惊奇。
- The doctor came in time to save his life.医生及时来抢救他的生命。
a.真实，不假的；忠实，可靠的；正确无误的
- He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man.不到长城非好汉。
- I will come and see if it is true.我要来了解一下，是否真有其事。
vbl.（give的过去式）给予，产生，发表
- He asked for money and I gave him some.他要钱，我给了他一些。
- I gave you a map so you wouldn't get lost. 我给你一张地图，这样你就不会迷路了。
v.动词say的过去式、过去分词
- He said to me that he could not come.他对我说他不能来。
- He said to his mother that he would do it by himself.他对他的母亲说他将自己独立做那件事。
n.压力，紧迫，强调，重音，重点，应力&vt.加压力于，着重，重读
- The roof couldn't bear the stress of the snow.屋顶受不了积雪的压力。
- My parents lay great stress on honesty.我的父母十分注重诚实。
n.信任，信赖，盼望，希望，赊卖，热望，切望；adj.信托的，被信托的
- I would never trust in that kind of person.我绝不会相信那种人。
- In some things you must trust to your elders.有些事情你得依靠长辈。
vt.设计，构思，绘制；vi. 计划，谋划；设计，构思，绘制；n.设计，图样；计划，企图
- It was done by design and not by accident.这事是故意做出来的。
- This piece of cloth has a new design.这块布图案新颖。
