The Media Center of the Sochi Winter Olympics is set to officially open on Tuesday, a month before the start of the Games.
Technicians 1 who are responsible for providing technical support will be the first to arrive at the Media Center. They will begin to install 2 equipment at the Media Center, on the Olympic Green, which covers an area of 158-thousand square meters. The center has a Main Press Center and an International Broadcasting Center, which can accommodate 3 12,000 journalists.
"This is the largest press hall for the Sochi Olympics. We have four press halls in the Media Center, which are named Pushkin, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and Chekhov, in memory of Russia’s great writers. Pushkin, the largest hall, has 500 seats. Important press conferences will be held in this hall." said Alexander Sikorova, press officer of Sochi Media Center.
