Sao Paulo wins in Rogerio Ceni's 1000th game

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Amidst a festive 1 atmosphere at home against Atletico-MG in the 22nd round of the 2011 Brazilian Championship, Sao Paulo battled to 2-1 victory on Wednesday.
The match marked team captain Rogerio Ceni's 1000th career match with Sao Paulo.
Before entering the match, Ceni stated that he was much more focused on the match rather than his historic mark with the club. Nevertheless, the veteran goalie was not shy to register his contentment. He commemorated 2 his achievement with an Olympic lap around the Morumbi stadium and received a plaque 3 in homage 4.
