Bremen top striker Claudio Pizzaro suffers injury

BERLIN, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Peruvian Bremen striker Claudio Pizzaro will be out of action due to an intraarticular ligament strain, the club announced on their official webpage on Wednesday.
Bremen's top striker Pizzaro was unable to participate at the squad 1 sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Claudio has sustained intraarticular ligament strain in his knee in the game at Borussia Monchengladbach. We will treat it with physiotherapy in the coming days," said Goetz Dimanski.
Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf added that Claudio has problems with his knee and therefore he could not train with the squad. Instead he has worked in rehab to stage a quick comeback at the end of the week.
On Sunday Bremen hosts Stuttgart to defend their fifth position.
