Education cooperation is a key part of the China-Bangladesh relationship. An increasing number of students from Bangladesh are choosing to study in China.
教育合作是中国-孟加拉两国关系构建的重要组成部分。越来越多的孟加拉学生选择前往中国求学。
Sharmin Reza Chowdhury is from the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka. She arrived in Shanghai this September to start pursuing her PhD at Shanghai Jiaotong University's School of Pharmacy 1.
Sharmin Reza Chowdhury来自孟加拉首都达卡。她于今年9月份来到上海，进入上海交通大学医学院进修博士学位。
"China is very strong in traditional Chinese medicine. My interest is in natural products, and to find some active ingredients that can be used in medicine,"she said.
她说：“中国的中医非常强悍，我对天然产品很感兴趣，想要找到一些可被用于制作医药的原料。”
"In my country, synthetic 2 drugs are very expensive. If we can make drugs from natural products, the prices will be much lower."
“在我的国家，合成出的药品都很贵。如果我们能用天然产品生产出药品，那么用药会便宜很多。”
越来越多的孟加拉学生前往中国大学求学
Many Bangladeshi students like Sharmin are studying at Shanghai Jiaotong University, in disciplines including life sciences, bio-technologies, pharmacy, computer science, mechanical engineering, aeronautics 3 and astronautics, as well as business management.
很多孟加拉学生的和Sharmin一样就读于上海交通大学，就读学科包括生命科学、生物科技、药剂学、计算机科学、机械工程、航空学、太空航空学以及工商管理。
Shanghai Jiaotong University is one of the country's best. It currently educates 26 students from Bangladesh, 15 of whom are pursuing PhDs.
上海交通大学是国内最好的大学之一。当前有26位孟加拉学生就读于此，其中15位攻读博士学位。
All 26 are on scholarships from China's central government, Shanghai's municipal government, or the university itself.
这26位学生全部享有中国中央政府、上海市政府和大学内部提供的奖学金。
