CCTV9英语新闻:中国驻澳大利亚大使批评安倍
时间:2019-02-07 作者:英语课 分类:CCTV9英语新闻2014年01月
The Chinese ambassador to Australia has criticized Japanese Prime Minister’s visit to Yasukuni Shrine 1. In a signed article in The Australian, Ma Zhaoxu says Abe’s homage 2 to the shrine is not a domestic affair or a personal act. It is a breach 3 of historical justice and human conscience, an affront 4 to people of all countries that suffered from Japanese militarist aggression 5 and colonial rule.
He also says it is a provocative 6 act that has increased tensions in the region and damaged relations with Japan’s neighbours. He added the key to the issue is whether the Japanese government is able to correctly view and seriously repent 7 its militarist past.
Although 70 years have passed since the end of World War Two, some forces in Japan still fail to face up to responsibilities for past crimes, in sharp contrast to Germany’s approach to history. He stressed instead of trying to turn back the wheel of history, Abe should take credible 8 measures to correct the wrongdoing and gain the international community’s trust.
