Hong Kong S.A.R. Chief Executive C.Y. Leung has praised the life of Run Run Shaw. Leung said Shaw made valuable contributions to the development of the local entertainment industry.
Leung said, "Sir. Shaw had been instrumental in pushing ahead with the development of entertainment business in the city and had attained 1 eminent 2 achievements.
"Shaw was a well-respected person who was enthusiastic for charity, including pushing education development in Hong Kong and mainland. I would like to extend my grief over his decease and condolence to his family."
