LONDON, April 26 (Xinhua) -- A British helicopter crashed Saturday in southern Afghanistan, the British Ministry 1 of Defense 2 (MoD) said Saturday.
"The incident is under investigation 3 and it would be inappropriate to comment further until families have been notified," the MoD said in a statement.
The MoD said that concerned family members can contact the ministry's Joint 4 Casualty and Compassionate 5 Centre on 0845 7 800 900.
Five service personnel have been killed in the crash, local media reported, citing MoD sources.
The MoD did not provide details of the nationalities of those killed.
