创始人纪念日来临，卡罗琳是庆祝活动上的主角。从墓地里逃出来的吸血鬼们正准备对整个神秘瀑布镇进行复仇计划，决定在燃放烟花的时进行大屠杀。安娜告诉达蒙吸血鬼们的复仇计划。而此时约翰启动了吸血鬼的毁灭装置，在五分钟内装置发出的超声波使所有吸血鬼都痛不欲生。夜晚约翰回家，埃琳娜突然出现杀了约翰。原来她并不是埃琳娜而是凯瑟琳。
