比尔原来是卡罗琳的父亲。他把卡罗琳关在一个为吸血鬼特制的密室里，最后卡罗琳被妈妈和泰勒合力救出。克劳斯跟斯特凡来到芝加哥的酒吧找巫师格洛莉娅，想要找到制作混血军团失败的原因。在克劳斯的引导下，斯特凡回忆起以往，他早就认识克劳斯和妹妹丽贝卡—斯特凡的前女友。丽贝卡复活，她说出混血军团失败的项链就是埃琳娜脖子上的那条。
