丹麦发明家自制载人火箭本月底试射
To achieve human being’s dream to visit out space in the future, Kristian von Bengtson and Peter Madsen, two Danish creators, have sucessfully made the world’s first amateur-built rocket capable of manned space flight.
为完成人类未来登上太空的梦想，两名丹麦发明家，克里斯蒂安·冯·本特森和彼得·马德森近日成功自制了全球第一架载人火箭。
Von Bengtson and Madsen are the leaders of Copenhagen Suborbitals. Both of them are engineers, and the latter used to work for NASA. But their rocket project didn’t receive government funding; instead they built on a budget of about $63,000 brought in by donation.
冯·本特森和马德森都是工程师，他们俩同时又是哥本哈根“亚轨道”组织的领导者，马德森还曾经在美国航空航天局工作。但是此次火箭制造没有获得政府一分钱的资助，所用的6万3千美元费用完全来自捐赠。
If everything goes as planned, the 9 metre-high rocket will burn through its fuel of liquid oxygen and solid rubber in about 60 seconds to propel the craft at 1,250mph to a height of more than 100km where it will experience weightlessness for about five minutes before drifting back to the Baltic sea slowed by a parachute.
这架自制火箭高约9米，主要以液态氧气和固体橡胶作为燃料。如果一切进展顺利，燃料燃烧60秒后将产生巨大能量推动飞船以1250英里每小时的速度向上飞行，飞到超过100公里的地方。在那里飞行员将会处于5分钟的失重状态，然后飞船将使用拖曳的减速伞逐渐减速，最后溅落在波罗的海上。
According to the plan, the rocket will be launched from a submarine on August 30 in the Barents Sea. If the attempt succeeds, Denmark will be the fourth nation to put man into space independently.
按照计划，火箭将于8月30日使用潜艇在巴伦支海进行发射。如果这一尝试成功，丹麦将由此成为世界第4个独立将人送入太空的国家。
Bengtson and Madsen said they are dedicated 1 to the study of space transportation vehicles, “if the launch is successful at the end of the month, we will ‘blaze out into space’ by rocket next time.”
本特森和马德森表示，他们一直致力于太空交通运输工具的研究，如果月底的发射能成功，那么下次将会坐上火箭一起冲向太空。
