Cannes to celebrate Bollywood on screen

PARIS, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Bollywood will share the spotlight 1 at the 64th Cannes Film Festival from May 11 to 22, with a special film showcasing India's unique film culture, organizers announced Friday.
"Bollywood - The Greatest Love Story Ever Told", a feature film produced by 2010 Cannes Jury member Shekhar Kapoor, will be screened out of competition(竞赛) during the festival.
"It is a swirling 2 and poignant 3 montage" that "pays tribute to this cinema genre 4 that has contributed to establishing India's identity in the eyes of the world and to making Mumbai one of the world capitals of film history," the organizers said in a statement.
It said the film, which combined "the most beautiful moments in the history of Indian musical films", came from a conversation with Shekhar Kapoor in 2010.
