　　Security personnel deployed 6 in the area also had difficulty in controlling the large crowds who gathered at the scene. Military helicopters had to patrol around the area to provide security.

　　Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority Harold Demuren confirmed that none of the 153 passengers on board the aircraft survived.

The accident happened barely 24 hours after a Nigerian Allied 8 Cargo 9 air plane crash-landed in Ghana, killing 10 at least 10 people.
