介绍： As I Lay Dying 是圣地亚哥的一支Metalcore乐队,乐队于2001年由主唱 Tim Lambesis ,鼓手 Jordan Mancino 和吉他 Evan White 组成,不久就发行了 Beneath the Encasing of Ashes ,第2年又发行了 Beneath the Encasing of Ashes .到了2003年,乐队在 Metal Blade 发行了第1张专辑 Frail 1 Words Collapse 2 后吉他 Evan White 离开了乐队,之后加入了2个吉他手 Phil Sgrosso , Nick Hipa 和贝司手 Clint Norris .07年乐队原贝斯手Clint Norris因结婚而退出了乐队，因此，新任贝斯手Josh Gilbert顶替了他的位置。Josh的加入为As I Lay Dying带来了一定的变化，他在弹奏贝斯的同时还为本张专辑中加入了一些旋律性的和音，而两位吉他手Nick Hipa和Phil Sgrosso之间的配合较之以前也显得更加默契。本张专辑的第一首歌是一小段略带古典气息的纯吉他Intro，只有一分多钟。在简短大气的开场白之后，As I Lay Dying的金属狂潮就迎面袭来。
