The Buk missile that downed flight MH17 was brought from Russia and fired from a region in eastern Ukraine controlled by pro-Russian rebels, according to a report of the Joint 1 Investigation 2 Team (JIT) released.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 took off from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on July 17, 2014 en route to Kuala Lumpur. The plane was shot down near Grabovo in eastern Ukraine. All 298 people on board were killed.
