It's mission accomplished 1 for Chinese divers 2 who have carried out a successful deep water mission. The team completed a saturation 3 dive to 300 meters underwater after coming out of the diving bell in the South China Sea at 8:14 A-M Sunday.
A second team has begun a similar attempt.
Saturation diving is a technique that allows divers to work at great depths for long period of time, according to the international practice, it’s universally applied 4 when the depth of diving is over 120 meters underwater and time over 1 hour. The mission’s chief inspector 5 directs the process by video.
The diving bell serves to carry the divers under high pressure, and is also their underwater operation base.
