Mourinho says nobody plays to lose

MADRID, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid coach this Tuesday Jose Mourinho refused to speculate on what would be a good result for his side to take into the return leg of their Copa del Rey quarter final against Barcelona.
Madrid receive Barca in the first leg in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday night before the return leg in Barca's Camp Nou a week later.
Speaking to the press the day before the game, Mourinho said he did not know what side he was going to play on Wednesday, neither did he make a prediction over the result.
"All I want to do is win the tie and that is the perfect result: we could lose at home and then win away from home, you never know what's going to happen," he said.
The coach has doubts over the fitness of winger Angel Di Maria and central defender 1 Pepe, while Sami Khedira is out injured and Alvaro Arbeloa is suspended for the game.
Mourinho would not speculate on Di Maria's fitness, but added the Argentinean would be in his squad 2. He also had words for the press, expressing his frustration 3 at the way every decision he makes in analysed in such depth.
"If Coentrao plays at right back they criticize me because he is left footed, if Lass plays there, I get criticized because he should play in midfield. If Pepe plays in midfield, I get criticized because he should be in defense 4, but if he plays in defense, some people say he should play in midfield...Maybe we should go to the cinema tomorrow," said the Real Madrid coach.
Mourinho also made it clear that although his has only won once in eight attempts against Barca as Madrid coach, the Copa del Rey was the least important of his side's objectives for the season.
"It is our third objective (after League and Champions League), but it is the game that we are playing tomorrow. Nobody plays to lose, we want to progress as I am certain Barca do as well," he said.
