TBILISI, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Iberia Star Tbilisi from hosts Georgia on Sunday overwhelmed a one-man-short SL Benfica of Portugal to win the Group D of the Elite qualification for the 2012-2013 UEFA Cup Futsal finals.
The Brazilian-starred Georgian side will join the winners from three other Elite group qualification to play in the finals in April next year in a place yet to be nominated.
With five minutes to go, the scoring was tied at 4-4. After a penalty converted and a man sent off for fouling 2 bid, the Iberia Stars did not look back and added two more goals to their credit in the dying seconds to the roars of a partisan 3 home crowd to finish off the game 7-4.
Earlier in the day, Gyori ETO FC of Hungary nipped Luparense C/5 from Italy 3-2.
With two wins and one draw, Iberia Star Tbilisi topped Group D with seven points, followed by Gyori ETO FC on one win against two draws for five points.
Former winners of UEFA Cup Futsal SL Benfica finished third on four points while winless Luparense C/5 were at the bottom of the four-team round-robin tourney.
