China's Ambassador to the United Nations Liu Jieyi spoke 1 at the Security Council about Shinzo Abe's visit to the controversial Yasukuni Shrine 2. He said the visit is an affront 3 to international justice and the UN Charter. He urged the international community to adhere to post world-war two principles.
"We can see clearly that an act....blatant 4 affront to the international justice, blatant affront to the human conscience, blatant affront to the post 2nd WW order...It is the duty of the international community...take the country down a very dangerous path." Liu said.
