China and Kyrgyzstan are to step up cooperation on fighting terrorism. The two countries launched their first joint 1 anti-terrorism drill last August, involving over a thousand soldiers.
The exercises were centered on communication, analysis of intelligence reports, joint decision making and border operations. The anti-terror cooperation is being boosted amid a growing wave of cross-border crime.
China and Kyrgyzstan say they’ll continue to deepen cooperation in fighting separatism, extremism and terrorism. Local authorities in border areas say they’ll spare no effort to combat terrorists and protect citizens.
