Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met Senegalese leaders and senior officials in Dakar. It's the final leg of a four-nation tour aimed at boosting ties with China's partners in Africa.

During Friday’s talks with President Macky Sall, Wang Yi said China will work with Senegal to advance pragmatic cooperation in various fields. This includes more help in Senegal’s development. Sall expressed his willingness to deepen trust, as well as strengthen cooperation in infrastructure 1 construction and improving people’s livelihoods 2. The Chinese foreign minister also met his counterpart Mankeur Ndiaye. The two sides promised support on issues related to core interests, and to boost cooperation in economy and social development.


Wang Yi told Prime Minister Aminata Toure the two countries shoud seize opportunities to cooperate. He said China will encourage its enterprises to invest more in Senegal.
