Escape表示“逃走”或“逃脱”,已含有“脱离”的意思。

The thief has escaped. 小偷逃走了。

Escape表示从具体的某一场所逃走时可以用介词 from:

Escape也表示被遗忘或未被注意等。

Nothing escaped his attention. 任何东西逃不过他的注意。
