WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama will meet with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey at the White House next month to discuss a range of issues, a presidential spokesman said Thursday.
In the meeting slated 1 for Jan. 13, the two leaders will focus on topics like economic growth, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership 2 negotiations 3 and shared challenges in North Africa and the Middle East, spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.
He said the visit highlights the "strength and depth" of U.S.- Spain relationship as NATO allies.
