A 17-year-old student attending the Wuhan Britain-China School, has been accepted to study at the prestigious 1 New York University, Abu Dhabi, regarded as one of the most selective undergraduate universities in the world.
武外英中一名17岁的女生被著名的纽约大学阿布扎比分校录取，该校被认为是全世界最难被录取的本科院校之一。
Mao Yue is the only student in Wuhan to be granted a full scholarship by a foreign university this year.
毛玥是武汉今年唯一一个被国外大学授予全额奖学金的学生。
The scholarship is worth 2.13 million yuan, about 310,000 U.S. dollars, which is to cover tuition 2 and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel expenses and round-trip tickets from Wuhan to Abu Dhabi.
奖学金价值213万人民币，约31万美元，包括学费、伙食费、住宿费、书费和学习用品费用、旅游费和阿布扎比往返武汉的机票。

It's reported Mao has always excelled 3 in her study, passing the TOEFL with a score of 96 while at middle school. She wrote around 100 English papers during her three years in high school.
据报道，毛玥一直学习优秀，初中参加托福就以96分的高分通过。她在高中3年期间，写了近百篇英语论文。
Mao is also said to be very active in out-of-class activities, carrying out field research, entering sports competitions, and even conducting investigations 4 on Wuhan's urban redevelopment.
据说毛玥在课外活动中也很积极，参与实地考察、参加体育比赛甚至指导调查武汉城市重建。
'The scholarship wasn't the most important reason for me choosing this university. More than 70 percent of the students are international students and around 90 percent of them are able to speak at least two foreign languages. I like communicating with people from different cultures,' Mao Yue says.
毛玥表示：“奖学金并不是我选该校的首要原因，因为这个学校的学生70%是国际生，90%的人至少能说两种外语。我喜欢与有不同文化背景的人交流。”
'I have a great interest in economics 5 and politics. I hope I can do research in both areas,' She adds.
