Russia's sending more ships to the Horn of Africa to crack down on the recent wave of hijackings. It says armed warships 3 will join a NATO-led international fleet. 90 ships, 90 ships have been attacked off Eastern Africa so far this year. The pirates operating from Somalia still hold 17 vessels 4 including a massive Saudi-owned supertanker, full of crude, the largest ship captured to date. Pirates typically hold the ships and then demand ransom 5.
If you have thought about quitting smoking, maybe today is the day. This is the 32nd annual Great American Smokeout sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The goal is to give quitters some mass moral support. Smokers 6 are encouraged to abstain 7 for the day, or at least try to cut back.
