Waterpolo: China smashes Germany 15-4

CHANGSHU, China, May 30 (Xinhua) -- China claimed a 15-4 victory over Germany while United States, Russia and Australia kept their winning streak 1 on the second day group matches at the 2012 FINA Women's Water Polo World League Super Final here on Wednesday.
Unlike the hesitation 2 manner against the six-time World League champions United States on Tuesday, China played a full-court and offensive 3 match against Germany with Wang Yi, Teng Fei and Zhang Lei scored triple 4 for the hosts.
Wang, who won all sprint 5 of every quarter, slammed the first shot from left side with two minutes and 53 seconds left in the first period. She scored one each in the second and third quarter.
Zhang Lei had a doule shots within one minute on the second quarter while Teng showed her killer's skill by sweeping 6 three shots in the third and fourth quarter.
"Winning is not the most important thing for us. Our players should understand how to play a better and clearer game everytime. I understand that sometimes the players are very tired during the match, but I have to push them hardly," said China head coach Juan Jane Giralt.
"The reason why we are eager to shoot today than yesterday? Because USA is the world champions for many, many times while Germany is not same thing. Our performance depends on the opponents sometimes," he said.
Rene Reimann, head coach of Germany, said:" China is very strong. Our defence in the begining was good, but not all the time throughout the game. We can not have better attacks against China."
In other group matches on Wednesday, the defending champion USA beat Greece 8-4 (2-0, 2-1, 3-2, 1-1); Australia swept Italy 12-2 (3-0, 3-1, 3-0, 3-1); Russia crashed Canada 10-7(2-2, 2-2, 2-1, 4-2).
USA, Russia and Australia had two wins, China and Greece had one victory while Italy, Germany and Canada had two losses so far in the group matches.
On May 31, Italy face Canada, Greece play against China, USA meet Germany and Russia play Australia.
The FINA World League Super Final will come to an end on June 3, while the overall winners receive 50,000 U.S. dollars as the prize money.
