The Love Letter 一封情书
The phone rang at the police station. 警察局的电话响了起来，
It was a high school student named Keira. 来电者是个名叫琪耶拉的高中生。
She found a strange note in her locker 2, and she was worried about it. 她在她的置物柜里发现了一张奇怪的纸条，她觉得很担心。
I went to her school and found her in the hall with a friend. 我到她的学校去，发现她和一个朋友在走廊上。
"Thanks for coming, Mr. E," Keira said. E先生，谢谢你来。
She held up the note. 琪耶拉说， 她举起那张纸条，
It was a love letter. 是一封情书。
"You called about a love letter?" I asked. 妳为了一封情书而报警？我问。
"This is serious, Mr. E!" said Keira's friend. E先生，这很严重！琪耶拉的朋友说，
"If a boy sent this note, he must like Keira!" 如果这张纸条是个男孩放的，那么他一定喜欢琪耶拉！。
"That is serious. Let me see the note," I said. 这样确实很严重， 把纸条给我看看。我说。
It was colorful with many phrases 3 on it. 那是一张色彩鲜艳的纸条，上面写了许多词句。
But a big question was in the center ─ 不过，中央写着一个大问题──
Will you be my Valentine, Keira? 琪耶拉，妳愿意和我交往吗？
The note had a sweet smell. 纸张还有一股香甜的气味。
I knew the smell but couldn't remember what it was from. 我认得那股气味，但记不得在什么地方闻过。
I looked at the phrases on the note ─ 我看着纸条上的词句──
TRUE LOVE, BE MINE and SO SWEET. 真爱、成为我的以及如此甜美。
"Do you get a lot of candy 4 on Valentine's Day?" I asked. 妳在情人节会收到很多糖果吗？我问。
"No, but a couple of people shared candy in class today," said Keira. 不会，可是今天班上有两个人和大家分享了糖果，
"Beth brought chocolates, and Justin brought candy hearts." 琪耶拉回答， 贝丝带了巧克力，贾斯汀带了心形糖果。
"I think Justin likes you," I said. 我认为贾斯汀喜欢妳，我说，
"These phrases were copied from candy hearts. 这些词句是从心形糖果上抄下来的。
And the note smells like them, too." 而且这张纸条也有心形糖果的味道。
