Liaison Rule 4: T, D, S, or Z + Y
When the letter or sound of T, D, S, or Z is fo llowed by a word that star ts with Y, or its sound, both sounds are connected. These letters and sounds connect not only with Y, but they do so as well with the initial unwritten [y].
- A long vowel is a long sound as in the word"shoe ".长元音即如“shoe” 一词中的长音。
- The vowel in words like 'my' and 'thigh' is not very difficult.单词my和thigh中的元音并不难发。
