HARBIN, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong has called for greater technological 1 innovation to rejuvenate 2 traditional industrial bases in northeast provinces.
Northeastern industry rejuvenation 3 has entered a "crucial stage," and technological innovation should be established as a main driver for future development, Liu said during a visit to Heilongjiang province on Sunday.
Liu urged more efforts be taken to make breakthroughs in core technology and boost key sectors 4 as well as strategic emerging industries.
