The government will issue real-time air quality monitoring data in 74 cities starting January 1st.
The Ministry 1 of Environmental Protection says the data will include PM2.5, a gauge 2 which monitors fine particles with a diameter of 2.5 microns or less.
Information on major pollutants 3 in the air, including sulfur 4 dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone 5, carbon monoxide and fine particles, will also be released.
