　　There's so many lesson in this, because at some point, something in life is going to eat you inside. It could be anger; it could be guilt 1; it could be pst hurts or some other strain of soul eating bacteria. But graduates, I want you to know that if you can aummon the courage of Monica George in the face of your own life's hardships, and you will have them, and if you can remember what good are you to anyone if you're miserable 2, I know for sure you'll be a huge success, because you are responsible for your happiness and you are responsible for the energy you bring to everyone.

　　这件事中蕴含了许多哲理。有时候，生活中的某一件事就可以把你毁掉，或许因为愤怒，或许因为罪恶，或许因为过去受过的伤，或许因为精神疲惫。但是毕业生们，我希望你们明白，如果你们记得整天像莫妮卡·乔治一样鼓起勇气直面人生的挫折；如果你们记得整天伤心对别人根本没有任何好处的话，我敢肯定你们定会大有作为，因为做到这些你们就做到了对自己的幸福负责，对给其他人所带来的影响负责。
　　One of my other favorite guests was a woman named Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, who's a brain scientist, who had a stroke in the left hemisphere 3 of her brain. She wrote a book called My Stroke of Insight 4. And so only the right hemisphere was working and when she was in the hospital as a patient, she said she could sense through her right brain when a nurse would come into the room and meant her well, or when the nurse was thinking about what time she was going to be off that day. She could sense the energy that was brought into the room. And after a while, she put up a sign in the room that said to everyone who came in the room, you are responsible for the energy that you bring. I love that moment, because we are responsible for the energy that we bring to everyone we do in life.
　　我最喜欢的另外一位嘉宾是吉尔·博尔特·泰勒博士，她是位脑体科学家，同时她自己的左脑也受到过重创。吉尔写了一部书《我的重创观察记》。虽然只有右脑可以正常工作，但在住院期间，她说她能通过右脑很好地感知护士何时要来，对她做了什么，何时下班。她能感知到带入病房的任何能量。不久，她就在病房里贴了个牌子，告诉进病房的所有人：你们要对自己带进来的能量负责。我喜欢那一刻，因为我们要为生活中能够产生能量的所有行为负责。
　　奥普拉·温弗瑞1954年1月29日，出生在密西西比的一个小镇。与其他孩子不同的是，上天没有给她一个温暖的家庭——她的父母没有结婚，并在她很小的时候就已分手。
　　1960年，奥普拉直到6岁，奥普拉才离开外婆，回到母亲身边。那段生活，就如同《猜火车》中的少年一样，抽烟、喝酒、吸毒，混乱不堪。
　　1963年，奥普拉9岁，她被表哥强奸；13岁，她因遭到强奸和侮辱而屡次离家出走，差点被送进少管所；14岁，她产下一个早夭的孩子。直到80年代立稳了脚跟，奥普拉才有勇气把这段不堪回首的童年公之于众，并承认这些对她后来的生活产生了深远的影响。
