有一个介词，用在口语中，意思很好玩。有一天，你对你的朋友说：no worry, I am over my ex. 这句话是什么意思呢？不要担心，我已经对我的前任没有任何感觉了，这事已经过去了。"over"原意有"在…上面"，当你"over something"的时候呢，就表示你已经从某事的阴影中走了出来，某事已经不在影响你的心情：
It took me 3 months to get over my difficulty 1. 我花了3年时间渡过这个困难。
It's over, everything will be fine.一切都结束了，事情会好起来。
It's hard for me to be over the loss 2 of my job.我很难从失业的阴影中摆脱出来。
Get over it, you may start your life again. 忘掉它，你可以重新开始生活。
下面，再讲一个常用的词组：In particular，特别地，它的前面可以放一些表否定的词，灵活表达你的意思。
A:What are you talking about? What on earth do you mean? 你到底什么意思？
B:Nothing, it's just nothing, nothing in particular. 没什么，没什么意思。
A:Do you have any particular place in your mind? 你心里有特别想去的地方吗？
B:Actually, nowhere in particular. 实际上，我也没想到过什么特别的地方。
A:Are you seeing anybody?你有男/女朋友吗？
B:Tell you the truth, nobody in particular.说实话，没有。
