1. At least 4 marines are dead after a gunman attacked 2 military facilities in Tennessee. The suspect identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was also killed. Officials are investigating a possible motive 1.
2. A South Carolina judge set a trial date of July,2016 for Dylann Roof. The 21-year-old is accused of killing 2 9 people inside a Charleston church last month.
3. President Barack Obama's push for a fair prison system took him to one in Oklahoma. The White House says Obama is the first sitting president to see the inside of a federal 3 prison. He toured a cell block and met a group of non-violent drug offenders 4.
4. Iraq's government declared Thursday an official holiday. Iraqis are trying to keep cool with temperatures at some places soaring 5 above 122 degrees. The heatwave comes as Muslims are fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
