A judge has tossed out of the convictions of nine South Carolina black men who integrated a whites only lunch counter at the peak of the civil rights movement. The nine men known as the Friendship Nine were convicted of trespassing 1 and protesting.
Officials say human body parts were discovered on a Swampscott beach in Massachusetts on Wednesday. Someone out for a walk reportedly found the body parts and alerted police. Medical examiners will work to determine the identity.
