It's been another sleepless 1 night for many in Queensland with floodwaters slapping at their doorsteps. The water continues to rise in Bundaberg. The Burnett River was expected to peak overnight, and 200 residents have been advised to leave their homes. Further north, Rockhampton is preparing for its worst flood in two decades. The Fitzroy River isn't expected to peak there until next week.
Northern Ireland, meanwhile, has a water crisis of its own. About 40,000 people throughout the country don't have running water because freezing weather has burst pipes. Many shops have sold out of bottled water, and emergency supplies are now being trucked in.
Five men have been arrested for planning a terrorist attack on a Danish newspaper. Authorities say the men were planning to storm the newspaper's office and massacre 2 its staff. The newspaper published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in 2005, triggering violent protests around the world.
A key terrorist suspect has gone on trial in Jakarta. Abdullah Sunata is linked with a terror network funded by the radical 3 cleric Abu Bakar Bashir.
