老男孩给青年人的几句建议

5月4日是五四青年节，是14至28周岁之间的青年的节日。青年节对于你来说意义是什么？是半天的法定假日，还是在今天惆怅地回想一下当年？老男孩说“青春如同奔流的江河 一去不回来不及道别”，你还能过几个青年节？
年轻的时候你会不会对那些前辈和过来人的语重心长不屑一顾？其实那些过来人的智慧真的很让人受益匪浅。2012青年节，静下心听听下面这位走过青年时代的老男孩的几点建议吧：
What other people think of you isn’t nearly as important as what you think of yourself.
别人怎么看你并不重要，重要的是你怎么看自己。
Rebelling against the status quo leads to burnout. Instead, boldly forge your own path.
对现状的不满和反叛只会让你在这个社会里横冲直撞，年轻人，还是大胆地走出自己的路吧。
Real men do cry.

Memorizing the answers isn’t as important as finding your own.
与其熟记标准答案，倒不如按自己的方式解决问题。
Mind your own business.
管好自己的事情。
Stick up for the weak and the small.
为弱势群体挺身而出。
Having a girlfriend isn’t as important as having friends who are girls.
有女朋友，倒不如有女性朋友。
Winners do quit, no matter what the cliché is.
赢家也可以放弃，“赢家永不放弃，放弃者永不会赢” 其实是废话。
Don’t take yourself too seriously.
别把自己太当回事儿。
Making lots of money isn’t the point, but neither is it evil.
赚大钱不是生活重点，但赚钱也不是坏事。
Follow your muse 1, even if it doesn’t seem practical to your family, friends, or teachers.
跟着你的灵感走，就算在家人朋友和师长的眼里你的灵感很不切实际，也别轻易放弃。
Love who you are, not who you think you ought to be.
爱你本来的模样，而不是你觉得自己应该是什么样子。
Above all, be honest.
最重要的是要诚实。
