I've come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world, one based on mutual interest and mutual respect. And one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition.
Two US journalists being held in North Korea are supposed to be on trial today. But what may be happening is shrouded 2 and secrecy 3. Laura Ling and Euna Lee were arrested three months ago. They were accused of illegally entering North Korea while reporting on defectors living along the border with China. Their families held a candlelight vigil last night. They were pleading for the women's release.

Actor David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel. The actor's personal manager said Carradine's death is being investigated.
