Rockets tie NBA 3-pointers record in 140-109 win over Warriors

HOUSTON, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Houston Rockets tied a NBA record with 23 3-pointers to rout 1 the Golden State Warriors 2 140-109 Tuesday night at Toyota Center.
The Warriors did everything they could, including intentionally 3 fouling 4 three times in the final minute of a blowout, to prevent the Rockets from setting an NBA record for most threes in a game. The record was initially 5 set by Orlando in January 2009.
Jeremy Lin sank five 3-pointers, a career high, and Chandler Parsons and James Harden hit four each as the Rockets reached a season-high point total.
Lin scored 28 points. James Harden had 18 and Parsons had 16 for the Houston Rockets.
Jarrett Jack 6 scored 20 points and David Lee had 18 for the Warriors, which had a four-game winning streak 7 snapped.
