SARAJEVO, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- The European Union (EU) on Tuesday urged Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to speed up reforms in a bid to join the 28-member bloc 1.
Peter Sorensen, head of the EU Delegation 2 to BiH, held a meeting with BiH Prime Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda over the EU integration 3.
Sorensen delivered the seventh Progress Report of the European Commission (EC) on BiH during the meeting, while calling on the BiH to do more in political and economic reforms.
All other countries in the western Balkan region were making progress towards EU integration while BiH is almost at a standstill, according to summary of the EC report.
The two agreed BiH should move more decisively to achieve concrete progress in its way to join the EU.
Renzo Daviddi, deputy head of EU delegation to BiH, also expressed his disappointment over the lack of progress in BiH.
The BiH was identified as a potential candidate for EU memberhsip in 2003.
